Gratitude

This company is built on collaboration and the spirit of kindness. So many people have shown up for me along this path, more than can be listed here. They offered feedback, support, time, guidance, and much more. My colony has been there for me, and I have so much love for everyone who has helped along the way.

Below, I'd like to thank a few of those individuals, whose contributions are woven into the fabric of my journey with The Apiarian Home.

Morgen Harrington, BeeBee Hive Collective

Scientific Advisor, Photographer & Beekeeping Mentor

Years ago, Morgen set up a hive in my yard and introduced me to the world of beekeeping, what a gift. I fondly named the queen in that colony Latifah, and it was love at first buzz. Morgen is a biologist with deep family ties to beekeeping, and has dedicated her life to caring for both honeybee and native bee populations in Colorado. When it came time to develop The Apiarian Home's fragrances, she showed up with her scientific expertise, her equipment, and endless patience, helping me test each formulation until I was happy with the scents. Her beautiful bee photography will be featured throughout the site, but her greatest contribution has been her unwavering support. I learn so much from her passion for pollinators, and I feel incredibly lucky to know her.

Christine Banman, Christine Amber Design

Bee Illustrations & Apitherapy Sketches

Christine is an incredibly gifted artist whose work undoubtedly elevated my website. Ever since she first painted a pet portrait of my two Golden Retrievers, Sophie and Cognac, I have been in love with her work. For The Apiarian Home, she hand-drew all of the honeybee and apitherapy sketches you see throughout the various pages. And because of her own deep, energetic connection to the animal world, she was the perfect collaborator for this project. Christine's intuitive ability to capture the essence of her subjects with heart, story, and connection shaped the visual identity of this brand. I'm endlessly in awe of her stunning artistry.

Alex DeCesaro, Alma Apiary

Natural Beekeeping Instructor & Apitherapy Mentor

Alex opened my eyes to a different way of being with bees. Through her natural beekeeping classes, I learned practices that honor the hive's innate intelligence, something I had always felt was missing in standard commercial approaches. After I experienced my first bee venom therapy sessions with her, apitherapy called to me as a way to partner with the bees. And when I decided to pursue this path seriously, Alex graciously agreed to be my mentor as I grow my skills and expertise in the world of hive medicine. Her respect for the bees as kindred spirits, and her commitment to healing both the Earth and people, are an inspiration for my own journey. I have deep respect for the soulful work she brings to this world.
