Inside the Hive

The queen is the mother of the hive. Everything the colony does organizes around her presence. She communicates through scent, releasing pheromones that move through the colony.

While developing, she is fed an exclusive diet of royal jelly, a nutrient-dense substance that triggers changes in her physiology that no other bee experiences. It is what makes her a queen rather than a worker, despite starting from identical genetics. Once mature, she is attended by a devoted court of worker bees who feed her, groom her, and tend to her constantly so she can focus entirely on her purpose of bringing forth life.

The QUEEN fragrance was built around that energy. It is lush, warm, and fully in bloom. It is the scent of a celebration, of abundance.

Scent Profile

The QUEEN opens with a full heart. A carefully-chosen blend of floral essential oils builds a bouquet in a bottle. This formula includes rose otto, steam-distilled from the petals of Rosa Damascena. It is said that rose has the highest vibrational frequency of any natural plant. A resinous base gives the fragrance its warm, comforting finish.

About Beeswax-Infused Fragrance

Every bottle begins with and infusion of organic sugarcane alcohol with beeswax, a slow process that gives each bottle its distinctive golden color.

Beeswax absolute is also present in every formula. This is a prized material in natural perfumery, extracted from honeycomb wax to draw out the deepest, most concentrated essence of the wax itself. The result is a rich, viscous, dark material with a complex scent that reads as honey, tobacco, and balsam.

Because I work with natural materials and make each batch by hand, slight variations in color, aroma, and clarity may occur. This is the beauty of working with nature, and a part of what makes each bottle special.

How to Use

Rooms: Mist upward into the air and let the fragrance fall and diffuse naturally. The QUEEN is a full, rich fragrance that works beautifully in living spaces, bedrooms, and anywhere you want to feel a sense of abundance. Start with a few mists and build from there.

Textiles and Fabrics: Mist onto throws, cushions, bedding, curtains, upholstered furniture, clothing, and other textiles. Always test on a hidden area first, as natural resins and beeswax may affect light or delicate materials. Allow to dry fully before contact.

Those with fragrance sensitivities or known allergies to botanical or hive-derived ingredients should test on a small area before use. Some natural oils may cause phototoxicity when skin is exposed to sunlight. Avoid applying near skin before sun exposure. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
