Inside the Hive

Drones, the brothers, are raised when the hive is thriving. Their presence is a seasonal signal of abundance, when resources and conditions are strong.

Beeswax is the foundation of the nursery where brood develops in perfect hexagonal cells. Drones spend much of their time in the hive providing warmth to these developing bees, their large bodies generating heat that keeps the brood at the precise temperature needed for growth. But they offer more than warmth. Drones hum and vibrate beside the wax cells, creating what's known as the drone song, a low frequency communication believed to transmit information to the larvae nestled inside. It's a sound of the colony's story being passed down through vibration.

Scent Profile

The DRONE opens with the heart of the forest. A carefully-chosen blend of coniferous and woodsy botanicals, with a hint of citrus, creates a wonderfully complex scent. At the edge of this perfume sits a touch of tobacco, a smoky, bittersweet material that perfumers prize for its depth. A resinous base gives the fragrance its warm, comforting finish.

About Beeswax-Infused Fragrance

Every bottle begins with and infusion of organic sugarcane alcohol with beeswax, a slow process that gives each bottle its distinctive golden color.

Beeswax absolute is also present in every formula. This is a prized material in natural perfumery, extracted from honeycomb wax to draw out the deepest, most concentrated essence of the wax itself. The result is a rich, viscous, dark material with a complex scent that reads as honey, tobacco, and balsam.

Because I work with natural materials and make each batch by hand, slight variations in color, aroma, and clarity may occur. This is the beauty of working with nature, and a part of what makes each bottle special.

How to Use

Rooms: Mist upward into the air and let the fragrance fall and diffuse naturally. The DRONE is a full, rich fragrance that works beautifully in living spaces, bedrooms, and anywhere you want to feel alluring. Start with a few mists and build from there.

Textiles and Fabrics: Mist onto throws, cushions, bedding, curtains, upholstered furniture, clothing, and other textiles. Always test on a hidden area first, as natural resins and beeswax may affect light or delicate materials. Allow to dry fully before contact.
